Sending clean, professional contracts is a key part of building trust and setting clear expectations. With WillowSpace, you can create and send contracts in just a few clicks—either from the WorkSpace, a lead or client profile, or directly from the Documents section.
Ways to Create a New Contract
OPTION 1: From the Lead or Client Profile

Go to Leads or Clients

Select the person you want to send a contract to

Click New > Contract
This will automatically link the contract to that lead or client and allow them to view and sign it from their portal.
OPTION 2: From the Documents Section

Go to Documents in the left-hand menu

Click + New Document

Choose Contract from the list of document types
⚙️ Set Up Your Contract Details
When creating a new contract, you’ll begin on the Contract Settings screen. Here, you can configure:
Contract Title — what your client will see
Document Type — start from scratch, use a saved template, or upload a PDF
Optional PDF Upload — skip the builder and upload a custom-designed contract
Client or Lead Assignment — who will sign this contract
Associated Project (optional) — link to an existing project
Due Date — helpful for time-sensitive agreements
Email Reminders — automatic reminders to prompt signing before the deadline
Click Save + Next to begin designing your contract.
🎨 Designing Your Contract
Once your settings are saved, you’ll enter the Contract Builder. This is where you can:
- Add and style text, headings, images, and layout elements
- Include payment terms, deliverables, and expectations
- Add placeholders or smart fields for personalized details
- Insert your signature as a digital image at the bottom along with the date
⚠️ Note: We’re actively building a new and improved builder! While you're currently using our legacy editor, you can still design polished contracts with full layout control.
After You Publish
When your contract is ready, you can:
Preview what it will look like for your client
Send the contract directly from WillowSpace
Copy the share link to send manually
Download a PDF copy for your records
Track activity — see when it’s viewed and signed
Duplicate or save as a template to reuse in future projects
Here’s What Clients Will See
- A clean, branded contract layout
- An easy-to-read interface on desktop and mobile
- A Sign Now button to complete the agreement
- A button to download the PDF (also viewable after signing)
- A confirmation email once the contract has been signed
Once signed, the contract is locked and archived in both your account and your client’s portal.
