Converting Leads to Clients in WillowSpace

How to convert your leads into clients in your WorkSpace

In WillowSpace, a lead represents someone who has inquired or shown interest, but hasn’t yet become a paying client. Once the relationship is confirmed, you can easily convert them into a client, either automatically or manually.

Automatic Conversion: When a Proposal Is Accepted

If you send a proposal to a lead and they accept it through WillowSpace, the platform will automatically:

  • Convert them to a client

  • Move them from the Leads tab to the Clients section

  • Keep all their history and documents linked

This is the most common way leads are converted—no extra steps required!


Manual Conversion: Without Sending a Proposal

If you're booking a project without sending a formal proposal (e.g., by phone, in person, or via another method), you can manually convert a lead to a client.

Two ways to do this:

Option 1: From the Leads List

  1. Go to Leads

  2. Click the three-dot menu beside the lead’s name

  3. Select Convert to Client

Option 2: From the Lead Detail View

  1. Click on the lead’s name

  2. Scroll to the right-hand panel

  3. Click Convert to Client

Once converted, they’ll appear in your Clients section and can be assigned to projects, invoices, documents, or a portal.


Converting a Client Back to a Lead

Need to reconnect with a past client for a new project? You can also convert a client back into a lead.

This is helpful for:

  • Former clients reaching out about a fresh inquiry

  • Wanting to re-track them through the lead pipeline

How to do it:

  1. Go to Clients

  2. Click the client’s name

  3. Click Convert to Lead in the right-hand panel

This will move them back to the Leads section, where you can begin nurturing the opportunity again.
